No data? Your SOS still goes out as a plain text with your live location to your circle. SMS rides the cell signal that survives when data dies, on bare 2G, deep in a village, or with data switched off.
Offline SOS relay
No signal? Your SOS hops quietly from phone to phone over Bluetooth until it reaches an ORBII phone that does have signal, and that phone sends it on for you. Help gets out even when your bars are gone.
Disaster mode
Floods, landslides, a cut connection: ORBII becomes an offline lifeline with one-tap 'I need help' or 'I'm safe', every Indian emergency helpline in one place, and step-by-step tips for each kind of disaster.
Offline helper alert
When everything is down, your SOS reaches nearby ORBII helpers over Bluetooth and guides them to you by signal strength, warmer and colder, while your exact location never leaves your phone. An ORBII Plus feature.

ORBII uses the best signal your phone has and drops to plain Bluetooth when it must, so a budget phone and a flagship still hand help to each other.
Built with privacy first: anything ORBII passes between phones over Bluetooth is sealed end to end, so the phones relaying it are blind couriers that cannot read it, only the people you trust can. These features are built and now being tested on real phones, they are not fully proven yet, and we will say so clearly the day each one is. What already works today: hands-free Voice SOS that runs entirely on your phone, still rare in India.

The speech is recognised on your own device, so your audio is never uploaded, and your location is never sold. It is live on Google Play and free to start.
Yes. "ORBII" and "ORBII Safety" are the same product, a hands-free voice-SOS women's safety app for India. Some people also type it as "Orbii" or "the ORBII app"; it all refers to the same app made by ORBII Safety.
ORBII listens on your device for a distress word like "help." The moment it hears it, a short countdown starts and then your trusted circle is alerted with your live location, and evidence recording can begin — all without you touching your phone.
No. Voice detection runs entirely on your phone to recognise your trigger word. That audio is never uploaded, streamed, or stored on our servers, and there is no ambient recording during normal times. The one and only way audio leaves your phone is if you volunteer for Voice Quests, where you deliberately record yourself saying a distress word to help train our Indian-accent model. That is off by default, you tap record each time, and you can withdraw whenever you like.
Never. Background listening happens entirely on-device, so there is nothing there for us to leak or sell. The only audio we ever hold is a Voice Quest clip you chose to record and send us, which is used solely to train distress-word detection, is never sold, and is deleted when you withdraw or delete your account.
Every SOS begins with a short countdown you can cancel with a single tap, so a false alarm never reaches anyone. Accidental triggers are forgiven; real ones alert everyone instantly.
Yes. ORBII keeps listening in the background, so you are protected even with the screen off and the app closed. You never have to open the app first to get help.
Core voice detection works offline. When your signal returns, any queued alerts and your location are sent to your contacts. We are also adding SMS-based fallback for areas with limited network.

Only the people you choose. Your location goes to your circle during an active SOS, during a Safe Journey, and while you have Circle sharing switched on. Circle sharing is off until you turn it on yourself, everyone in the circle can see who is currently visible, and today’s trail is deleted every midnight. Nobody outside your circle ever sees it, and ORBII never sells location data to anyone.

No. Voice detection is built to run efficiently in the background. Because nothing is streamed to a server, it uses far less power than apps that constantly send audio or location to the cloud.

Every verified responder completes identity verification and a review before they can ever respond, and builds a rating through real responses. Verified responders are part of ORBII Plus; free users are alerted to their own trusted circle.
