It does not cry wolf
An app that fires by accident gets switched off, and then it protects nobody. So nothing goes out the instant a word is heard.
- A countdown before every SOS
- More time when the phone is lying untouched
- One tap to say you are fine
Every other safety app needs your hands. In the moment you are grabbed, running, or your phone is in your bag, that is exactly what you do not have. Voice SOS removes the button. You just use your voice.
Pick a step to see it, or let it run. This is what the phone does, in order, from the word leaving your mouth to the people who can help knowing where you are.
Say "help", "bachao" or "madad". ORBII is listening on the phone itself, with the screen off, the phone in a bag, and no signal at all. Nothing leaves the device to make that decision.
One tap says you are fine. A pressed button gets 5 seconds. A voice trigger gets 3 to 9: shorter when the phone is being fought over and the word was shouted, longer when the phone is lying untouched. A whisper never makes you wait longer.
Your circle gets your name and live location, whatever your sharing setting. ORBII members nearby are alerted. Recording starts, and keeps the 15 seconds before you spoke.
Heard “help”“bachao”“madad”
Recognised on this phone. Nothing sent to decide.
Sending in 5 seconds
112 stays one tap away the whole time.
Most voice features send what the microphone hears to a server and wait for the answer. ORBII makes that decision on the phone itself. That is why it can keep listening in a lift, a basement or a highway with no signal, and why there is nothing to leak.
Needs signal. Your audio exists somewhere you cannot see.
Needs nothing. What it hears sits in a short buffer on the phone and is overwritten, unless an SOS fires.

The one time audio does leave the phone is the moment you asked it to. When an SOS fires, the recording is saved to your private history, so what happened still exists afterwards. It is never sold, and never used for anything else.

Not a policy promise layered on top. There is no server-side copy of what you said while it was listening, because we chose not to build one.
Voice SOS is one layer of your safety, not all of it. What it does, it does on the record, and it never stands between you and the police.
Two minutes: pick your word, add the people who should hear it, and say it once to test. The first time you need it should not be the first time you use it.
