Set your word once. Say it out loud and a countdown starts, even with the phone locked, in your bag, and the app closed. A few seconds to cancel, so an accident does not become a false alarm.
Alerts the people you chose, with live location
When the countdown finishes, your trusted circle gets an alert carrying your live location, and it keeps updating while the emergency is active.
Keeps 112 one tap away
The national emergency number sits on the SOS screen. ORBII is the first ninety seconds, not a replacement for emergency services.
Works when the internet does not
Your word is recognised by a model on your own phone, so detection keeps working with no signal at all. When data fails, alerts fall back to SMS.
Records evidence without uploading your life
Audio around an SOS is recorded and stored in a private, access-controlled store. Video is recorded to your own phone and stays there.
Shares a Safe Journey when you want it
Start a journey, and your circle can watch you reach the destination. You start it, and it ends when you arrive.
Why a spoken word instead of a button
A panic button assumes a free hand and a calm second, and the moments it exists for often provide neither. Your phone is in your bag. Someone is holding your arm. Being seen to reach for a phone is itself the risk.
A word costs nothing to say and needs no hands. That is the whole design, and everything else in ORBII is built to make that one moment reliable: a countdown you can cancel, a circle briefed in advance, and a model that keeps listening when the network is gone.
Where your voice and location actually go
Your voice is recognised on your phone
The English model ships inside the app, which is most of why the download is large. Hindi is a one time download you switch on. Either way, nothing is sent anywhere for your phone to listen for your word.
Location history is deleted after seven days
Automatically, by a job that runs every night. We could not produce a map of where you were last month if somebody demanded it, which is the point.
We do not sell your data
Not to colleges, not to brands, not to data brokers. There is no version of this where your location becomes somebody else’s product.
What is not finished yet
On a safety app, the list below matters more than the feature list above. Somebody choosing ORBII because of something that does not work yet is the one outcome we cannot live with.
- Verified responder dispatch and the ORBII Helpers app are still in development and field testing, so do not choose ORBII today on the strength of them.
- The Bluetooth mesh relay for areas with no network is built but not proven in the field.
- ORBII for iPhone is in development. Today the app is Android.
- A PDF incident report, a scream trigger and a silent shake SOS are in the next release, not in the version you would install today.
Set it up in about ten minutes
- Install it and pick your word. Something you would not say by accident in ordinary conversation.
- Add two or three people who answer their phones, and tell them what an alert from you means and what to do with it.
- Turn off battery optimisation for ORBII, or Android will quietly kill the thing that is listening.
- Test it once, on purpose, so you know what it sounds and feels like before a night you actually need it.

Questions people ask before installing
What is the best women’s safety app in India?
It depends on what fails you first. 112 India is the official emergency number and should be your first call in danger. If the thing that worries you is not being able to reach your phone, choose an app with a hands-free trigger, which is what ORBII is built around. Judge any app on four things: can you trigger it without your hands, where does your audio and location go, does it work without internet, and is the company honest about what is not finished.
Is ORBII free?
Yes. Voice SOS, your trusted circle, live location during an emergency and one tap to 112 are free on Android. A paid tier is planned around the verified responder network, which is still in testing.
Does a women’s safety app work without internet?
Detection does, in ORBII, because the speech model runs on your phone rather than in the cloud. Delivering the alert still needs a way out: ORBII falls back to SMS when data fails. No app can deliver an alert from a place with no signal of any kind, and any app claiming otherwise is overselling.
Does the app listen to everything I say?
It listens for your trigger word on your device. Audio is not streamed to a server for that, and nothing about the listening leaves your phone. Once an SOS is actually running, audio around the alert is recorded and uploaded to a private store, which is a deliberate and different decision that we explain rather than hide.
Which phones does it work on?
Android. ORBII for iPhone is in development and we will say so plainly until it ships.
Does it replace calling the police?
No. ORBII has no authority to send anybody. It alerts people who already know you and puts 112 one tap away. In immediate danger, call 112.
